A legal term that means that you, as a Board or Committee Member, can be held responsible for your actions as a Member, or the actions of the Board or Committee. This could happen if you did not act in good faith, put your interests ahead of the organization or did not follow the laws and regulations while acting as a Board or Committee Member. Typically, an organization has liability insurance to cover any claims against the organization.
